§ Mr. Rooker[holding answer 29 October 1998]: I have no plans to provide any additional funding to Gloucestershire County Council or nationally to Trading Standards Services to carry out their enforcement responsibilities in respect of BSE legislation. Through the BSE Regulatory Forum, however, my officials will continue to work with representatives of local authorities on ways in which improved guidance and co-ordination of enforcement activity can be achieved to ensure the most cost effective use of available resources.
