The Association of Chief Police Officers of England, Wales and Northern Ireland (ACPO) is not part of the Home Office, nor is it accountable to the Secretary of State for the Home Department. Its incorporation as a private company limited by guarantee and its financial support of the Chief Police Officers' Staff Association are matters for the internal management of ACPO.
