§ Mr. DenhamWe are considering the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme, as part of the overall review of welfare which includes disability benefits, in consultation with the Department of Health. While this is on-going it is right that we should increase the payments to new claimants. A proposal will be placed before the House to increase the current payment of £30,000 by £10,000 to £40,000, as soon as possible.
