§ Mr. GalbraithThe board is required to provide a central system to deal with applications to enter into training courses, to provide careers information to the public and to carry out research into training methods (SI 1993/637(S.83)). Funding for carrying out these functions is not specifically authorised by statute and, with Treasury agreement, it is intended to allow the expenditure to rest on the sole authority of the Appropriation Act until amending legislation can be enacted.
