§ Mr. MeacherThe Government are in regular contact with other European Member States to discuss how the European Community and its Member States can meet the targets that were set in the Kyoto Protocol. The Environment Council in June will consider how to develop measures to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, including hydrofluorocarbons. The Government will be issuing a consultation paper later in the summer on policy options for meeting their commitments.
