§ Sir Patrick CormackTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what plans he has to restrict the access of delivery vehicles to Central London during daylight hours. [41846]
§ Ms Glenda JacksonTraffic management on most roads in central London is the responsibility of the boroughs. The boroughs already have powers to restrict loading and unloading and the Government have no 301W plans to change them. As noted in the White Paper on proposals for modernising the governance of London, the management of freight traffic on the capital's roads will be an important policy area within the integrated transport strategy for London that the new Mayor will have a duty to produce.
