§ Mr. Hain£.3.5–£4.5 million, depending on take up, has been set aside from the windfall tax for the New Deal for people aged 25 and over in Wales. In addition, my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer has already announced that a further £100 million is to be made available, across the UK, to pilot an extension of the New Deal approach for this age group. An appropriate share of this will come to Wales, the exact amount being dependent upon the number, scale and nature of the pilots.
