What is the projected increase in allocation for the NHS in Scotland:

1. (a) in cash terms; and
2. (b) in real terms;

Expenditure on the NHS in Scotland in 1998–99 is planned to be £249 million-£123 million in real terms-more than the planned expenditure for 1997–98. The allocation for next year will not be determined until the review of government expenditure is completed.
