§ Mr. Mike O'BrienThe Dublin Convention has made it more difficult and time consuming to secure the return to other member states from the United Kingdom of non-European Union nationals who claim asylum on arrival here. Under our Presidency of the European Union, we are seeking agreement on a programme of action aimed at improving the operation of the Dublin Convention.
