§ Ms Estelle MorrisIn January 1997 Local Education Authorities published comparative tables of primary school performance at Key Stage 2. Twenty three schools did not submit results for publication through the National Data Collection exercise. School performance data are only published for LEA maintained and GM maintained mainstream schools. This analysis, therefore does not include special schools. Schools whose results were unavailable for reasons beyond their control have also been excluded from this analysis. Data on individual school performance at Key Stage 3 were not published in 1997 and are now a matter for individual local education authorities, who are being encouraged to publish additional local information.
