§ Dawn Primarolo[holding answer 29 April 1998]There were no increases in amusement machine licence duty in 1996–97 and 1997–98. Separate figures for the duty yield from skill-with-prizes machines cannot be calculated. The actual yield in 1996–97 from amusement machine licence duty was £128 million and in 1997–98 was –131 million (provisional figures).
