The agenda of the Second Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 2) will be finalised by the Leaders themselves on the eve of the Summit. We expect ASEM 2 to have a wide-ranging political dialogue. The Asian financial crisis will be a priority in our economic discussions. The Summit will also produce outcomes in areas that matter to the peoples of our two regions, particularly education, child welfare and environment.
