§ Mr. RookerWhen the Advisory Committee on Novel Foods and Processes (ACNFP) met on 19 March it considered that further information was required before it could complete its assessment of oil obtained from genetically modified (GM) herbicide tolerant cottonseed. The Committee was however satisfied as to the safety of peeled and comminuted GM tomato products and will be finalising its report to the EC Commission on these shortly. This will be published and a copy made available in the Library of the House.
