To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if she will publish a list of non-departmental public bodies(a) she has abolished since 1 May 1997 and (b) she has established since 1 May 1997; and what are the planned annual running costs of those that have been established since 1 May 1997. [holding answer 17 March 1998]: The information for the Northern Ireland Office and the Northern Ireland Departments is as follows:

  1. (a) The Northern Ireland Citizen's Charter Advisory Panel was disbanded in May 1997.
  2. (b) The Commission for Racial Equality for Northern Ireland (CRENI) was established in June 1997 and came into operation in August 1997. Estimated running costs in its first full year will be some £277,000.
