§ Mr. BanksThe Department has received 14 representations regarding the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester since May 1997.
The Government strongly support the organisation of the 2002 Games, and this Department is working closely with Manchester City Council to ensure the delivery of a successful event. Other Government Departments will become involved when necessary.
