§ Dr. ReidThe research currently being carried out by the Chemical and Biological Defence sector of the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency into a proposed nerve agent pre-treatment using a combination of physostigmine and hyoscine is due to be completed in June 1999.
If the pre-treatment proves effective against nerve agent poisoning, it is likely to undergo a full safety evaluation prior to submission for approval for a full product licence from the Medicines Control Agency.
