§ Mr. MilburnRead Codes Version 3 contains cross-references to the International Classification of Diseases version 10 (ICD-10). This allows users to produce data required for central statistical returns in ICD-10 format.
Pembrokeshire and Derwen National Health Service Trust is using Read Codes Version 3 to produce such data for central statistical returns and has evaluated the cross-references to ICD-10. It concluded in a report that
Read 3 now adequately supports the business and clinical information requirements of the trust with respect to diagnoses and procedures".Copies of this report have been placed in the Library.
