§ Mr. BattleThe Cleaner Vehicles Task Force, of which Ian McAllister of Ford is a co-chair, will be exploring a wide range of issues affecting the development, purchasing and use of cleaner vehicles. An element of major importance will be the contribution of new technologies to environmental objectives.
At this early stage, no assessment of any individual technological solutions has been made. However, under the Foresight Vehicle LINK Programme, the Government are providing over £5 million for collaborative research between industry and the science-base, to accelerate the exploitation of a range of environmentally friendly automotive technologies.
