§ Mr. MichaelSince April 1994, which is as far back as reliable statistics are available, the Home Secretary has not accepted the recommendations of tribunals appointed to consider police discipline appeals in 27 out of 169 cases (approximately 1 in 6). The figures for each year are shown.
