Mrs. Liddell

A working group, which will report in April, is looking at steps that the Government might take to help businesses that choose to use the euro from 1 January 1999 and the associated implications for departments.

Included in this work is an analysis of the implications of meeting the Government's commitment to allow certain taxes to be paid in euro.
