§ Dr. HowellsThe Teachers' Pensions Regulations 1997 define incapacitated in the case of a teacher as unfit by reason of illness or injury to serve as such and likely permanently to be so despite appropriate medical treatment. Permanently is interpreted as including any teaching, full or part-time, up to the scheme's normal retirement age of 60.
