§ Marjorie MowlamIf widely acceptable arrangements can be agreed, it is the Government's intention to transfer a wide range of responsibilities to new democratically elected institutions in Northern Ireland. The Government have no plans for radical change to the role and responsibilities of District Councils in Northern Ireland.
