§ Mr. BanksNo seaside piers in the North West of England have been the subject of an award by the Heritage Lottery Fund during the last twelve months. Southport pier, which was awarded a grant of £34,000 on 5 February 1997, is so far the only pier in the North West to have received a grant from the Fund.
