§ Mr. Ian McCartneyOne of my officials is currently on secondment on the Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and this posting is being fully funded by my Department. There are no other DTI employees or full or part time consultants in Japan funded by my Department. Occasionally the Embassy will employ consultants at our cost to provide specific services in support of our inward investment, commercial and science and technology activities in Japan. Neither our secondee to MITI nor any hired consultants work from the offices of the British Embassy in Tokyo.
