§ Angela EagleThere are no current regulations to control the height of leylandii or other hedges between gardens. However, under the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995, a planning application is required to erect a boundary fence or wall over one metre high next to a highway used by vehicles or over two metres elsewhere.
I am still considering whether any form of Government intervention is necessary to help resolve the problems people encounter with high hedges.
