§ Mr. Stuart BellFor the 1997/98 stipends year (1 April to 31 March), the CSA recommended for full-time assistant staff a range between £12,850 and £13,850.
Dioceses are free to exceed the scale points, or to use the points flexibly, for reasons of responsibility, seniority, or personal circumstance.
The average stipend paid in the current stipends year is £13,620.
