§ Mr. Ian McCartneyA number of organisations have made representations to us on corporate governance. This is a matter in which the Government are keenly interested.
As I said in response to my hon. Friend the Member for Bexleyheath and Crayford (Mr. Beard) earlier today, we look to companies and institutions to show leadership in delivering best governance practice. If they do not, the Government may have to act.
