§ Mr. Win GriffithsThe reforms introduced by the White Paper "Putting Patients First" have estimated start up costs of £10 million and are expected to cost £7 million per annum. However, they are intended to release recurrent savings which, over the lifetime of this Parliament, are expected to provide up to £50 million for reinvestment in direct patient care.
