§ Mr. Win GriffithsNo. Existing guidance, as contained in Planning Guidance (Wales): Planning Policy (May 1996) and Technical Advice Note (Wales) 12 'Design' (October 1997), makes it clear that applicants for planning permission should demonstrate how they have taken account of the need for good design in their proposals, and that local planning authorities should reject obviously poor designs.
