§ Mr. Win GriffithsInformation provided by the National Association of Victim Support Schemes indicates that there are 31 such local schemes and branches currently operating in Wales.
Central Government funding for Victim Support Schemes is provided by the Home Office on an England and Wales basis and is allocated to Schemes by a Funding Panel. All Victim Support Schemes operating in Wales have received funding from this source in the current and previous two financial years.
The Volunteering in Wales Fund, which is administered by the Wales Council for Voluntary Action on behalf of the Welsh Office, provided £8,030 to Cardiff Volunteer Support in 1997–98. Support may also be obtained from other sources, such as local government, but details of these are not held centrally.
