§ Mr. HainDuring the last 14 months regular safety inspections have been carried out at the Penmaenbach Tunnel on the A55 by Welsh Office engineers and the North-East Wales Trunk Road Agency, who are appointed highway maintenance agents of the Welsh Office. In addition, the Welsh Office commissioned crack movement monitoring during the same period. Both safety inspection and crack movement monitoring is ongoing. The dates of the safety inspections and crack movement monitoring over the last 14 months were:
