All air shipments of radioactive material to, from and within the United Kingdom must be made in accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organisation's Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (Class 7) which are given legal force in the United Kingdom by the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulations 1994 (SI No 3187) and Amendments 1996 (SI No 3100) and 1997 (SI No 2666). Prior notification of such shipments would be made only where so required by the Technical Instructions.
