§ Mr. Tony LloydAs of 15 June 1998,375 applications against the United Kingdom pending before the European Commission of Human Rights had been registered but not yet put before the Commission, 2 had been adjourned, 26 had been communicated to the United Kingdom Government with no request for observations for the moment, 109 had been communicated to the Government with a request for observations, and 53 applications had been declared admissible and were awaiting examination of the facts and arguments of the parties by the Commission. It would not be practicable for the Government to make a statement in respect of all these cases.
