To ask the President of the Board of Trade what further progress her Department has made in assisting businesses to prepare for the launch of EMU. [45078]

The Euro Preparations Unit was set up in the Treasury at the beginning of this year to raise business awareness of this issue and to help firms prepare.

My officials will continue to work closely with the EPU to ensure that the many contacts that my Department has with business are used to support these objectives.
