§ Ms Glenda Jackson[holding answer 15 June 1998]: We are aware of the proposal to re-establish passenger rail services from Matlock to Buxton as part of a wider strategy for the area. Any decision to re-establish services will be a matter for the promoters of the scheme, together with Railtrack, the local authorities and the relevant train operating companies.
