§ Mr. RaynsfordWe have received 20 representations on the Local Government Commission's final recommendations on the future electoral arrangements for Cumbria. We are currently considering these representations and intend to announce our preliminary response to the recommendations shortly. At present, it is intended that the new arrangements will be established in time for the 1999 elections.
