§ Mr. George HowarthConsultation documents on the police and fire service pension schemes were published on 31 March of this year. We have invited comments by 31 July on the issues raised in the documents. We will take careful account of the comments we receive when we come to consider any changes to the pension arrangements for new entrants to the police and fire services and to medical retirement procedures.
