§ Mr. BoatengWe attach great importance to advocacy for people with learning disabilities and people with acute mental health problems, and provide central government funding for the voluntary sector in this area. We have also issued guidance to health authorities and social services which includes the need to consider making appropriate arrangements for independent advocacy.
