HC Deb 15 June 1998 vol 314 c20W
Mr. Todd

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will evaluate the impact of the privatisation of the Agricultural Development Advisory Service on the quality and range of advice available to farmers. [44498]

Mr. Morley

No, I do not think such an analysis is necessary.

However, I understand that ADAS continues to provide the same research, consultancy and laboratory services that it provided when it was an Agency to the Department and should be well placed to advise farmers on a wide range of agriculture issues both in the UK and overseas.
