§ Ms JowellThe European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products is currently considering an application for a European marketing authorisation for this product. Decisions on whether to grant marketing authorisations for such products are taken by the European Commission after consultation with the competent authorities of the Member States. The United Kingdom is not, therefore, in a position to consider any application for a national authorisation under Section 58 of the Medicines Act 1968.
