Dr. Howells

The latest available information on discretionary awards made by local education authorities in England and Wales to further education students is for academic year 1996–97. Provisional information indicates that four authorities did not make any discretionary awards to further education students and a further two made no new awards. In addition, four authorities were unable to supply full information.
