§ Mr. Peter HainInformation on public and private sector employees in Wales is available from the quarterly Labour Force Survey. The Autumn 1995 survey estimated that public sector employees as a percentage of private sector employees was 49 per cent.; there were an estimated 673,000 employees in the private sector and 331,000 in the public sector.
