The Regional Development Agencies Bill, under which Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) will be established, received its second reading in Another Place on 18 May 1998,Official Report, House of Lords,

columns 1290–1354. Work is continuing at a regional and national level in anticipation of the creation of RDAs. As I stated in my answer on 27 January 1998, Official Report, column 305, the RDA for the East Midlands will be best placed to decide where its offices should be.
