§ Mr. DarlingThe Government are committed to delivering high-quality public services at best value to the taxpayer. Expenditure on Departments' running costs is being closely scrutinised in the Comprehensive Spending Review. Controls on running costs will be maintained within the new spending plans announced at the conclusion of the Review.
