§ Ms Glenda JacksonThe development of the West Coast Main Line modernisation and upgrade programme continues to generate considerable interest and I met the West Coast Rail 250 group on 20 May. We have had no representations recently on the level of investment on the line. However, I understand that Railtrack has invested £200 million on the route modernisation since 1995, mainly on repairs and renewals.
