To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions how much tritium waste was released into the River Thames by Aldermaston Weapons Establishment in each of the last 10 years. [44138]

Discharges of appropriate treated tritium waste from the Atomic Weapons Establishment at Aldermaston to the River Thames are made in line with specific authorisations issued by the Environment Agency. Annual discharge levels for the last 10 years are as follows:
