§ Mr. MilburnInformation on bed availability has been collected at National Health Service trust level since 1991–92 and the data are published in the book "Bed Availability and Occupancy for England", copies of which are available in the Library. The latest available data are for 1996–97. Information for 1997–98 will be available in the autumn. A breakdown of the information between the hospitals is not available centrally, but may be available from the chief executives of the trusts.
