§ Mr. MilburnIt is the duty of health authorities to arrange the provision of specialist palliative care services (including hospice care) commensurate with the assessed health needs of their populations, in the same way as for other health services. Since 1994/5, funding for this purpose has been built into health authorities' general allocations.
