To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) if he will estimate the total number of individuals paying any part of their income tax at the lower rate of income tax in(a) 1996–97, (b) 1997–98 and (c) 1998–99; [43985]

(2) if he will estimate the total number of individuals paying any part of their income tax at the higher rate of income tax in (a) 1996–97, (b) 1997–98 and (c) 1998–99; [43983]

(3) if he will estimate the total number of income tax payers in (a) 1996–97, (b) 1997–98 and (c) 1998–99; [43981]

(4) if he will estimate the total number of individuals paying any part of their income tax at the basic rate of income tax in (a) 1996–97, (b) 1997–98 and (c) 1998–99. [43982]
