To ask the Secretary of State for Health what percentage of teenage(a) boys and (b) girls in England was smoking tobacco (i) in 1988 and (ii) at the most recent date for which figures are available. [44019]

The table shows the percentages of boys and girls aged 11–15 who smoked regularly in 1988 and 1996.
